With the news that the Labour deputy leader, Harriet Harman has been forced to confront allegations of aiding and abetting paedophiles, shouldn’t the same be asked about the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne?
Whilst the Private Eye magazine, Telegraph blogs and Chris Spivey, publically accused Harriet Harman of PIE connections, it took the front page of the Daily Mail to make her comment.
“The editor and proprietor of the Daily Mail are entitled to their political views and they are of course entitled to oppose what I stand for but they are not entitled to use their newspaper to smear me with innuendo because they disagree with me politically and hate my values,” she said.
Relying on the public to dismiss the allegations as “mad,” Harriet Harman is on record saying that she would have preferred the allegations to “go away.”
Alas the Truth never fades.
Harriet Harman has her own questions to answer, as does Katy Bourne, the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner.
In a fortnight which saw the ex Chief Constable, (whom she is paid £1.1 million a year to hold to account,) step down in disgrace, Katy Bourne has responded with a video log, its business as usual.
Just as it took Harriet Harman years to answer these “horrific” and “grotesque” allegations, Katy Bourne has spent over a year ignoring the horrific and grotesque allegations of covering up murder, protecting paedophiles and covering up police corruption.
The Domino Effect.
Psychologically speaking, Katy Bourne’s video log, in the face of mounting criticism over her time in office and the corruption in Sussex Police force, shows they are petrified.
They are Petrified.
Detective Superintendent Nick May, who has overall command of serious crime in Sussex and Surrey would know better than anyone, that when the police are breathing down your neck ready to charge, the most natural response is to act normal, as if its business as usual.

Showing the viewer around, the message was clear. Business as Usual. Nothing to see here Ladies and Gentlemen, please move on.
Other than asking Giles York what he had for breakfast, and letting us know she had a bowl of porridge, Katy Bourne ignored the ‘white elephant’ in the room.
Like Harriet Harman, who wished and wished and wished the question will go away, the truth stood its ground and demanded to be answered.
Katy Bourne and Giles York have demonstrated their guilt by not addressing the points brought to their attention. By not denying them, they have confirmed them to be true.
Imagine if you were the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex?
- A man publically bombards you with evidence contradicting the official story of why the Chief Constable stood down early.
- A man publically posts pictures inferring that you aid and abet paedophiles and freemasons.
- A man who calls for your resignation and accuses you of being a crook.
What would you do? Remain silence? How would you react?

What is amazing, is that out of 90,000 residents in Sussex, only a few seem to care.
